Food Safety Training Video Maker

Food safety depends on routines done the same way every shift. SOPMagic turns your receiving, storage, cooling or cleaning procedures into a clear SOP and a short clip per step that new staff can watch before their first shift.

Each SOP step becomes one short clip, with the step text shown alongside.

Sample: Receiving a Cold Food Delivery

  1. Step 1

    Inspect the delivery

Check that packaging is intact, clean and correctly labeled before accepting it.

    Shot

A cook in an apron inspects boxes on a delivery cart at the kitchen back door.

  2. Step 2

    Check product temperature

Use a clean, calibrated thermometer to check cold foods. Accept them only at 41°F (5°C) or below, unless your local code allows otherwise.

    Shot

Close-up of a probe thermometer inserted between two packages, the display visible but out of focus.

  3. Step 3

    Reject what fails

Refuse items that are damaged, leaking, past date or out of temperature, and note them on the invoice.

Never accept food you are unsure about to save time.

    Shot

The cook sets a leaking package aside and writes on the delivery invoice.

  4. Step 4

    Label and date

Label items with the received date so older stock is used first.

    Shot

A hand presses a date label onto a container.

  5. Step 5

    Store immediately

Move cold items into the walk-in right away. Store raw meat below ready-to-eat foods.

    Shot

The cook places raw meat on the bottom shelf of a walk-in cooler, below covered produce.

  6. Step 6

    Rotate and log

Place new stock behind older stock (first in, first out) and record the delivery in the receiving log.

    Shot

The cook slides older containers forward and fills in a receiving log on a clipboard.

Temperatures and steps shown are illustrative. Your local health code and food safety plan take precedence.

Frequently asked questions

Which food safety procedures can I turn into videos?
Any routine with fixed steps: receiving, cold and hot holding, cooling, labeling, cleaning and sanitizing, allergen handling and hand washing.
Will the SOP follow my local health code?
Add your code’s requirements and your own temperatures in the details box. The generator follows what you provide and flags steps that depend on local rules.
Can I make one video per station?
Yes. Generate a separate SOP for each station or task so every video stays short and focused.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to write the SOP. Sign in when you want to render video clips.
